Khalil Gibran
Khalil Gibran was born on January 6, 1883, in Lebanon. He was an artist, poet, writer and philosopher. His notable works are The Madman published in 1918, The foreruner published in 1920, The Prophet published in 1923, and Foam published in 1926. The major themes of his works are Love, death, nature, and longing for the homeland. He passed away on April 10, 1931, in New York, US.

Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. His full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi but he is popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi. He studied at a local school at Rajkot, then he went to Samaldas college in Bhavnagar, and completed law in London. He is famous as Father of the Nation. His notable works are The Story of My Experiments with Truth. He fought against racial discrimination in South Africa, Champaran Satyagraha, Non-Cooperation Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement, Swaraj, and Quit-India movement against the British government are some of his major achievements. He was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on 30 January 1948 in New Delhi.
