July 8 - Peruman Train Tragedy
In the Peruman, the Bangalore - Kanyakumari Island Express train derailed on the Peruman bridge over Ashtamudi Lake, near Perinadu, Kollam, Kerala, India and fell into the lake, killing 105 people on July 8, 1988.
July 11 - World Population Day 
World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues.

It is celebrated on 12 July annually to make people aware of the pollution caused due to plastic and the serious threat that it poses to the natural environment.
July 12 - Malala Day
Malala Yousafzai initially became famous for her childhood activism against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan's (TTP's) restrictions on education for girls. She appeared on television and wrote a blog for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Her fame soared after a gunman shot her in the head in 2012, when she was 15 years old, and she survived. Every year on July 12th, the world celebrates the birthday of Malala Yousafzai.
July 15 - World Youth Skill Day
In December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring 15th July as World Youth Skills Day. The goal is to achieve better socio-economic conditions for today’s youth as a means of addressing the challenges of unemployment and under employment.

July 18 - Nelson Mandela International Day
Nelson Mandela International Day (or Mandela Day) is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated each year on 18 July. He was a human rights lawyer, a prisoner of conscience, and an international peacemaker. And he was the first democratically elected president of a free South Africa. Nelson Mandela International Day shines a light every year on the legacy of a man whose monumental achievements changed the 20th century and shaped the 21st.
July 26 - Kargil Vijay Diwas
'Kargil Vijay Diwas' is celebrated to remember the pride and valour of the soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay. The day marks the victory of Indian soldiers in recapturing the mountain heights that were occupied by the Pakistani Army on July 26, 1999 at Kargil, Ladakh.
July 27 - Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Memorial day
This day is to remember Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, 'Missile Man of India', for his contributions towards the development of our missile projects. He was born on October 15, 1931, at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu and died of cardiac arrest on July 27, 2015 while giving a lecture at Indian Institute of Management Shillong.
July 28 - World Hepatitis Day 
World Hepatitis Day is commemorated each year on 28 July to enhance awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes a range of health problems, including liver cancer.
July 28 - World Nature Conservation Day
World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on 28 July to remind humankind about the importance of nature and the need to protect it.
July 29 - The International Tiger Day 
This day is celebrated on July 29 every year. The main aim behind this day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues.
