What is Cursive Writing? Why is it useful?
It is a style of writing in which letters of a word are joined or connected together by a pattern of oval and parallel lines.
It is much faster than print or pre-cursive writing.
It develops motor skills and pen control.
It makes handwriting look neater.
It creates an impact on others.
It helps train the brain to integrate various forms of information.
It helps recognize words quickly.
Muscle development and synchronization of hands and eyes are also improved when writing cursive.
How to Start Writing?
First of all, a child should know how to hold a pencil correctly. The correct way of holding a pencil is known as 'tripod grasp'. It enables the child to hold the pencil correctly while moving the fingers controlling the pencil. The thumb, the index finger is used to hold the pencil while the pencil rests on the middle finger and web space between the index finger and the thumb.
II. Strokes and curves.

III. Loops and Circles.
Loop is a shape produced by a curve that bends around and crosses itself.
The circle is a special kind of ellipse that has no corners or edges. Learning loops and circles give shape to the letters, neatness, and increase the speed of writing.
